"You stammered your way right into my heart"

Just came from the cinema - saw "The King´s Speech" which I thought was lovely and which made me love Colin Firth, Helena Bonham Carter, Geoffrey Rush, british quirkiness and accent much much more. It is such a delightful film and it makes believe that ever flaw you might have can be changed into something beautiful and strong.
Also the film is set in an era which I adore: the Twenties and the Thirties which - in my opinion - have been awfully elegant and chique. Back then pearls were seen as hip and "trendy" and you could wear a long, flowy skirt and everyone would love your outfit! What a refreshing thought if you consider that today most people believe that sexy and stylish is all about showing much and much more. I tend to sound a bit granny I know  but I would love to have a bit more grace and elegance in fashion and the modern world.

Go and treat yourself to this perfect movie! Not only because it received two Oscars!

Just because you will love it.

Yesterday I also went to the museum and saw a wonderful exhibit about jewellry from the beginning of the 20th century. I loved the french jewellry which was handcrafted by a man called Lalique and his works are AMAZING with a capital A. It was extremely inspiring and I even thought about outfits I could wear with this delicate pieces of art.
I also popped into a collection of FLORENTINA PAKOSTAs workings which nearly made me cry, because her paintings were the most honest and ironic I have ever seen. She uses tools like lipstick, pens and chalk and it looks stunning. Some of her late works made me think of this seasons bold colours and I thought about having them printed onto a skirt.
