Robert Z. smashing plates and the first love

I am writing this, eating chocolate pudding and listening to the raindrops falling on the roof, which is kind of perfect for the kind of post I want to write.
As you might´ve guessed from my last post, I am thinking about the future a lot. And so, I also got a little more into art and literature - even more than I have already been.
I love this newspaper called "Süddeutsche", because every week it publishes this highly entertaining magazine, which I absolutely adore. I love their "Please don´t say anything" series, in which they photograf peoples reactions on different questions. This week they have done that with a young couple (both my age) and the photos were fantasticly beautiful and romantic.
Today I fell asleep in my english lesson, but before I did, our teacher told us about this weird student he taught about ten years ago, called Robert Z. He used to bring plates (!) to class and smash them after the lessons were over. He smashed them by burding them with books.
He did that for over three months and after he graduated my teacher asked him why he had done that. Robert answered, that he wanted to show how he felt after a long day of people telling him things he didn´t want to hear. And at his graduation ceremony, where the graduates line up to hand shake with the teachers and stuff, he denied the handshake, because he didn´t want to let them think they had done anything for him. In the end, he became a plate painter and went to Texas, USA. It is a true story, and I found it really inspiring.
