I am a bit ill right now, which is kind of boring and so I want to tell you something about me:
I think about fashion all the time - really, I guess I have spent no day not thinking about what to wear or who was wearing that or what I would like to wear. My mum once asked me, if I wanted to become a fashion designer, because I told her that there weren´t the skirt/the shoes/the dress on this earth I was looking for. But then, I quickly answered her that I wanted to write about designers and not have to face rejection, competition and basically ruin every day. I think that designers (yes, even bad ones) deserve way more than they actually get - and I am not talking about money, I am talking about featuring them in mags and cherishing their work in media. Because it takes A LOT to actually do a collection and by this I don´t mean celeb-collections, where the star just shows up to take pictures and nod five times; Three, twohundred years ago we had painters, and now I guess it is the century of the fashion designer and the photographers.
One of my favourite designers is Vivienne Westwood. Although I do not always share her visions and her way of looking at things, I think she really is a legend. And she is married to an Austrian designer, Mr. Kronthaler - I guess, which is kind of funny.
I am planning to name my daughter (and no, I am not a freak and nor am I pregnant, but you know you c a n plan things like that) after her...
