You, in that polka-dot bikini!

Summer is coming, guys! And for me summer means heat, relaxing in the sun, drinking mojitos and wearing barely-there things.

Years ago, I was really insecure about my body (not that I am totally in love with it right now, but - y´know - I accepted it) and bikinis were like torture. I would run around clasping a towel to my wet, bare body parts.

But today, I am way more positive about my body which is a good thing. So, this summer I am going to celebrate this whole new feeling by showing my body in lovely bikinis and jumpsuits and skirts and dresses and tees and shorts and hot-pants - ooooh my god, I am sooo longing for summer right now!

In the last couple of days I bought myself two bikinis: one from Zara, which is white and strapless and looks a bit like the one Kate Moss is wearing;

And one which is dark-blue with pink polka-dots (my mums reaction was as to be expected).
When it comes to bikins, I have lots and lots of pictures in my head, but here are the ones who are suitable for the younger ones out there (and no, I am not a lesbian, but when it comes to bikins, I start to think about someone opening mine, you know...).

Look: classic & damn sexy, the young Brigitte Bardot

Look: super-sweet, but still kinda sexy; Whitney Port in Miami

Look: modern, with a retro-reference; Halle Berry in Die another Day

Actually, the bikini Halle was wearing in this legendary scene is by my favourite swimwear line: ERES. It is french and luxurious - I first discovered it last summer in "Le Bon-Marché" and it was hard to go away from there without buying something as the prices are quite exquisite (one piece 80 €). For the new season, they have done a super-sensual photoshoot with the vuluptous Lara Stone (also featuring in this seasons LV campaign).

And this is a piece from an old collection, but I still love it.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR BUYING A BIKINI:
Start to use self-tan; you will look slimmer, more toned and just nicer if you got a little tan.
Exercise; a bit. Do not overdo it or you will end up with looking like Madonna - euuuw. Start with 30 Sit-ups a day, then add ten every day till you reach hundred.
Take a nice (and honest) friend with you. Nothing is more depressing than standing alone in that changing room fighting with this shrewd little panty; Choose a friend who is honest, but not too honest - you know not someone who is frank... That will prevent you from starting complexes and still keep you safe from buying the wrong stuff.
